I ordered a box of the 25-30 lbs Smoak Firewood Kiln Dried Premium Oak 8inch logs on December 2, 2024 on the internet l received my order on December 3, 2024, the next day delivery was outstanding. I tried to leave a review on the company’s website that l ordered them from it kept giving me an error message. My great niece was visiting me after she got out of school. She asked if she could put the logs in the firewood basket holder and l said yes. After stacking them we made a fire using several of the small logs, one fire starter, and two large logs that l had. She told me she measured the logs with her ruler and none of them measured 8”. We made a great fire with them due to curiosity l asked to see her ruler and she was right none of the remaining logs were 8” long. They ranged from 7 1/2” to 7 3/4”. Do they shrink during whatever process that’s used to dry the wood? The sound of 25-30lbs sound like a large amount of 8” logs what’s pictured is what’s left of the box which cost $64.99 plus tax. I rated them three stars out of five due to the cost and the length not being 8”.

I’ve bought firewood from here twice (maybe 3x) over the last year +. Nearly flawless experiences. Last month the issue was w FedEx. After reaching out to Smoak they contacted shippers directly to find out where my missing wood was. 10 minutes later I got a call back with an update - my wood was found and would arrive in the next few days. I’ve bought firewood locally in the DFW area and it wasn’t what was promised. Pay a little extra - their wood burns better - the process is simple - and hands down it’s worth it in the long run.

Delivery took longer than expected and was delivered to the wrong address. I had to open the box at my neighbors front porch and move the wood in arms fulls back to my house.

Worth every penny! This wood burns better than any firewood I’ve ever purchased. I was tired of getting “seasoned” wood that just sizzled in the fireplace and wouldn’t burn. This wood always burns hot and keeps the house warm. They have great service as well! You can find cheaper wood, but this firewood is in a class of its own. Seriously!

I am very pleased with the quality of this firewood. I used some this evening to grill some wings and was impressed at how quickly the wood caught on fire. It was small enough to fit inside of my charcoal starter and it was ready to go within 15 minutes or so. You get a generous amount in the large box and the size is great for what I need. I highly recommend giving them a try. I ordered the post oak wood. Shipping was delayed for some reason (by FedEx) but it still arrived in a decent amount of time.
